Watar palace is said to be the most beautiful and the most beautiful of all the palaces. This palace is a famous historical palace situated between the Mansagar lake of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. The palace here is half submerged in water. Being in the middle of the water, it is also called 'Eye Ball', 'Romantic Palace'. Its watershed area is 23.5 sq km (9.1 sq mi) and the maximum water depth is 4.5 m (15 ft). Its surface area is 300 acres (120 ha).
जलमहल को बाकि सभी महलों में सबसे अलग और सबसे सूंदर महल कहा जाता है। यह महल राजस्थान की राजधानी जयपुर के मानसागर झील के मध्य स्थित प्रसिद्ध ऐतिहासिक महल है। यहाँ महल आधा पानी में डूबा हुआ है। पानी के बीचों बीच होने से इसे 'आई बॉल' , 'रोमांटिक महल' भी कहा जाता है। इसका जलसम्भर क्षेत्र 23.5 वर्ग किलोमीटर (9.1 वर्ग मील है और पानी की अधिकतम गहराई 4.5 मीटर (15 फीट) है। इसका सतह क्षेत्र 300 एकड़ (120 हे॰) है।
Boats are used to reach this aquarium. In the water spread around the palace, you can see different types of ducks, geese, fish etc. Which is a very beautiful scene. The evening view of the palace becomes very amazing due to the mountains behind the palace. Perhaps this is why Jalmahal is one of Jaipur's most prized tourist sports.
इस जलमहल तक पहुँचने के लिए नाव का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। महल के चारो तरफ फैले पानी में आपको तरह-तरह की बतख , हंस , मछली आदि देखने को मिल सकते है। जो एक बहुत ही सूंदर दृश्य होता है। महल के पीछे पर्वतों के होने से महल का शाम का दृश्य बहुत ही अद्भुत हो जाता है। शायद इसलिए जलमहल जयपुर के सबसे बेशकीमती टूरिस्ट स्पोर्ट्स में से एक है।
This palace was built about 300 years ago by Maharaja of Amer in 1799. There was a famine in the region in the 15th century before the construction of the Jalmahal. To avoid this famine, the ruler of Amer decided to build a dam to collect the water coming out of the mountains of Amer and Amagarh and made 3 excellent inner doors to drain the water and then slowly Mansagar lake was built.
इस जलमहल को लगभग 300 साल पहले आमेर के महाराज ने 1799 में इस महल का निर्माण करवाया था। जलमहल के निर्माण से पहले 15 वीं शताब्दी में इस क्षेत्र में अकाल पड़ा था। इस अकाल से बचने के लिए आमेर के शासक ने एक बांध बनाने का निश्चय किया ताकि आमेर और अमागढ़ के पहाड़ों से निकलने वाला पानी को इकठ्ठा किया जा सके और पानी के निकास के लिए पानी के भीतर 3 बेहतरीन आंतरिक दरवाजे बनाये और फिर धीरे-धीरे मानसागर झील बनाकर तैयार की गई।
When the Manasagar Lake was ready, its beauty had become the center of attraction of the kings of the time, due to which the kings often used to visit it in a boat. Seeing the beauty of the Manasagar lake, the then king Sawai Jai Singh decided to build a palace in the middle of the lake so that he could take a royal bath in the middle of the lake with his queen and pandits after the Ashwamedha yagna.
जब मानसागर झील बनकर तैयार हुई तो उसकी सुंदरता उस समय के राजाओं के आकर्षण का केंद्र बन गई थी जिसके कारण राजा अक्सर नाव में बैठ इसकी सैर किया करते थे। मानसागर झील की सुंदरता को देखते हुए उस समय के राजा सवाई जयसिंह ने झील के बीचों-बीच एक महल बनाने का निश्चय किया ताकि वह अश्वमेघ यज्ञ के बाद अपनी रानी और पंडितों के साथ झील के मध्य में शाही स्नान कर सके।
The construction of Jal Mahal began in 1799. A five-floor building has been built in this palace. In which gardens were also built in the palace. The 4 floors of the palace are built under water and one is seen above the water. This palace built in the middle of the lake has been narrating its story for many centuries. People from many different places of the world come here to see this palace.
1799 में जल महल का निर्माण कार्य शुरू हुआ। इस महल में पांच मंजिल ईमारत बनाई गई है। जिसमें महल में बगीचे भी बनाए गए। महल की 4 मंजिल पानी के भीतर बनी हैं और एक पानी के ऊपर नजर आती है। झील के बीच में बना यह महल कई सदियों से अपनी दास्तां सुना रहा है। दुनिया की कई अलग-अलग जगहों से लोगों इस महल को देखने यहाँ आते है।
