Eklavya is a very small character in the Mahabharata war in India. The war of Mahabharata occurred in 3137 BC. Eklavya is known for his great archery and his love for master, Eklavya was the son of Hiranyudhanu and Sulekha. Eklavya was a dalit living in forests. Eklavya was a very beautiful and skilled child. वैसे तो इस दुनिया के बीते हुए प्राचीन समय में बहुत से ऐसे-ऐसे महान योद्धा हुए है। जिनकी कल्पना हम आज के समय में नहीं कर सकते। ऐसे योद्धा जिन्होंने अपने जीवन में बहुत से महान कार्यो किये जिनकी के वजह से वह महान बन पाए। आज उन सभी महान योद्धाओं के इतिहास के बारे में दुनियाँ बात करती है। इतिहास के उन सभी महान योद्धाओं में से एक का नाम था। एकलव्य,
एकलव्य भारत में हुए महाभारत युद्ध का एक बहुत छोटा पात्र है। महाभारत का युद्ध 3137 ईसा पूर्व में हुआ था। एकलव्य को उसकी स्वयं सीखी गई महान धनुर्विद्या और अपने गुरु के प्रति प्रेम के लिए जाना जाता है, एकलव्य राजा हिरण्यधनु और सुलेखा का पुत्र था। एकलव्य जंगलों में रहने वाला एक दलित था। एकलव्य बहुत ही सूंदर और कुशल बालक था। एकलव्य बचपन से ही अपनी उम्र के बच्चों से काफी तेज और बुद्धिमान था। इसी वजह से एकलव्य जल्द ही अपनी सभी अस्त्र की विद्या को सीख गया। लेकिन एकलव्य अपनी इस सीखी हुई विद्या से खुश ना था। क्योंकि एकलव्य को धनुर्विद्या ज्यादा पसन्द थी। इसलिए एकलव्य को अस्त्र- शस्र के साथ और अधिक धनुर्विद्या को भी सीखना चाहता था। इसलिए धनुर्विद्या सीखने के लिए एकलव्य महान गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के पास जा पहुँचा।

गुरु द्रोणाचार्य महाभारत काल के सबसे महान धनुर्विद्या सिखाने वाले गुरु थे। जिन्होंने अपने प्रिय शिष्य अर्जुन को दुनिया का सबसे महान धनुर्धर बनाने का वचन दिया था। जब एकलव्य गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के पास धनुर्विद्या सीखने के लिए पहुँचा। तो गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने एकलव्य को धनुर्विद्या सिखाने से मना कर दिया। क्योंकि गुरु द्रोणाचार्य केवल क्षत्रिय और ब्राह्मण को ही शिक्षा दिया करते थे। और एकलव्य जंगलों में रहने वाला एक दलित परिवार से था। गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के मना करने के बाद एकलव्य ने हार नहीं मानी। एकलव्य ने जंगल के अंदर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य की एक मूर्ति बनाई। और उसी मूर्ति को अपना गुरु द्रोणाचार्य मानकर उसके आगे रोज धनुर्विद्या सीखने का प्रयास करने लगा।

Then suddenly his dog saw something And he started going straight into the forest, inside the jungle. For a while, the master Dronacharya and Arjun were heard listening to the sound of the dog. Then suddenly, they stopped listening to the sound of dog barking. On not hearing the voice of the dog, Guru Dronacharya and Arjun went behind the dog and started going inside the jungle. After going into some distance of the forest, master Dronacharya and Arjun saw that someone has attacked his dog with an arrow and closed his dog's mouth. Seeing this, Arjuna got very angry. And began to find the person who killed his dog. When Arjun was searching for that person. Suddenly, his eyes went towards master Dronacharya. And he saw that master Dronacharya is looking very carefully towards the dog. Arjun came to the master Dronacharya. And the master asked Dronacharya, what are you looking at? On Arjun's request, master Dronacharya said to Arjun, Arjun carefully look. Someone has hit their arrow inside our dog's mouth. Because of which our dog's mouth is closed. And see a drop of blood from the mouth of this dog does not come out. I'm pretty sure. Of course there is someone in this forest that knows archery very well.
धीरे-धीरे दिन बीतने लगे। और फिर धीरे धीरे दिन सालों में बदल गए। एक दिन गुरु द्रोणाचार्य अपने शिष्य अर्जुन और एक कुत्ते के साथ जंगल में जा रहे थे। तभी अचानक से उनके कुत्ते ने कुछ देखा। और सीधे भोक्ता हुआ जंगल के अंदर जाने लगा। कुछ देर तक तो गुरु द्रोणाचार्य और अर्जुन को कुत्ते की भोखने की आवाज़ सुनाई देती रही। फिर अचानक से, उन्हें कुत्ते की भोकने की आवाज़ सुनाई देना बंद हो गई। कुत्ते की भोकने की आवाज़ सुनाई ना देने पर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य और अर्जुन कुत्ते के पीछे जंगल के अंदर जाने लगे। कुछ दूर जंगल के अंदर जाने के बाद गुरु द्रोणाचार्य और अर्जुन ने देखा की किसी ने उनके कुत्ते पर तीर से हमला करके उनके कुत्ते का मुँह बन्द कर दिया है। ये देखकर अर्जुन को बहुत गुस्सा आया। और उस व्यक्ति को खोजने लगा जिसने उनके कुत्ते को मारा था। अर्जुन जब उस वव्यक्ति को खोज रहा था। तभी अचानक से उसकी नजर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य की ओर गई। और उसने देखा की गुरु द्रोणाचार्य कुत्ते की ओर बहुत ध्यान से देख रहे है। अर्जुन गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के पास आया। और गुरु द्रोणाचार्य से पूछने लगा, ऐसे क्या देख रहे हो। अर्जुन के पूछने पर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने अर्जुन से कहा, अर्जुन ध्यान से देखो। किसी ने हमारे कुत्ते के मुँह के अन्दर अपना तीर मारा है। जिसके कारण हमारे कुत्ते का मुँह बंद हो गया है। और देखो इस कुत्ते के मुँह से एक बूंद खून भी बाहर नहीं निकला। मुझे पूरा यकीन है। जरूर इस जंगल में ऐसा कोई तो है जो धनुर्विद्या को बहुत अच्छी तरह से जानता है।।

While searching for the archer, Arjun and Dronacharya were going inside the jungle. Suddenly, his eyes fell on a young man. And he saw a beautiful young man trying to learn archery wearing a tribal dress in front of a statue. Seeing this, Arjun and Dronacharya went to that young man. And began to ask him. Have you killed our dog? Eklavya said, "Your dog was distracting my attention. So I had to kill him.
गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के ऐसा कहते ही, अर्जुन ने गुरु द्रोणाचार्य से कहा, क्यों ना हम उस धनुर्धर को खोजे। और उससे मिले। अर्जुन के इतना कहते ही गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने कहा, चलो उस धनुर्धर को खोजते है। धनुर्धर को खोजते हुए अर्जुन और गुरु द्रोणाचार्य जंगल के अन्दर चले जा रहे थे। तभी अचानक से उनकी नजर एक नौजवान पर पड़ी। और उन्होंने देखा की एक सुन्दर नौजवान एक मूर्ति के आगे आदिवासी के कपडे पहने हुए धनुर्विद्या सिखने का प्रयास कर रहा है। ये देखकर अर्जुन और गुरु द्रोणाचार्य उस नौजवान के पास गए। और उससे पूछने लगे। क्या तुम्हीं ने हमारे कुत्ते को मारा है। एकलव्य ने जबाब देते हुए कहा, आपका कुत्ता मेरा ध्यान भंग कर रहा था। इसलिए मुझे उसे मारना पड़ा।
Then master Dronacharya asked that young man, who are you? And where did you learn these archeology? The young man said to Dronacharya, My name is Eklavya. And I live in this forest. And I'm the son of Hiranyandhu and Sulekha. I have learned these archeology from you only. 10 years ago When I came to learn archery, then you refused to teach your archery. Then, as a master, I made an idol here. And then every day I started trying to learn archery in front of your idol.
फिर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने उस नौजवान से पूछा, तुम कौन हो। और तुमने ये धनुर्विद्या कहाँ से सीखी। उस नौजवान ने गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के कहा, मेरा नाम एकलव्य है। और मैं इसी जंगल में रहता हूँ। और मैं हिरण्यधनु और सुलेखा का पुत्र हूँ। मैंने ये धनुर्विद्या आपसे ही सीखी है। १० साल पहले। जब मैं आपके पास धनुर्विद्या सीखने आया था तब अपने धनुर्विद्या सीखाने से मना कर दिया था। तब आपको गुरु मानकर मैंने आपकी यहाँ पर एक मूर्ति बनाई। और फिर रोज मैं आपकी उस मूर्ति के आगे धनुर्विद्या सीखने का प्रयास करने लगा।
The Master Dronacharya was shocked to hear this. Dronacharya thought that this young man also knows Arctic archery from Arjun. If it does not stop, then the young man who lives in this forest will become a good archer even than Arjuna. Dronacharya said to Eklavya, I am your master. Will not you give me Donation? Eklavya then said to Dronacharya, I will definitely give you once you ask for it. Dronacharya said to Eklavya, If it is so, then I ask for your thumb of your right hand.
यह सुनकर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य हैरान रह गए गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने सोचा ये नौजवान तो अर्जुन से भी भेतर धनुर्विद्या को जानता है। अगर इसे रोका नहीं तो ये जंगल में रहने वाला नौजवान अर्जुन से भी अच्छा धनुर्धर बन जायेगा। गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने एकलव्य से कहा, तेरा गुरु तो मैं ही हूँ। क्या तुम मुझे गुरु दक्षिणा नहीं दोगे। एकलव्य ने गुरु द्रोणाचार्य से कहा, आप मेरे गुरु है। आप जो भी चाहो मांगो मैं आपको जरूर दूंगा। गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने कहा, नहीं तुम नहीं दे पाओगे। एकलव्य ने फिर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य से कहा, एक बार मांगिए तो मैं आपको जरूर दूँगा। गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने एकलव्य से कहा, यदि ऐसा है तो मैं तुमसे तुम्हारे सीधे हाँथ का अँगूठा माँगता हूँ।
As soon as master Dronacharya asked Eklavya's right hand thumb.Arjun was surprised to hear about Dronacharya. And started thinking. What did this Master Dronacharya ask for Eklavya? Arjun felt that perhaps Eklavya would not give his thumb to Dronacharya. If he gave his thumb master Dronacharya. Then how will he run the arrow? Arjun was thinking about all this. Suddenly Eklavya got his knife and cut his right thumb and gave it to master Dronacharya. Arjun was surprised to see this.
गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने जैसे ही, एकलव्य के सीधे हाँथ का अँगूठा माँगा। अर्जुन गुरु द्रोणाचार्य की बात सुनकर हैरान हो गया। और सोचने लगा। की गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने एकलव्य से ये क्या मांग लिया। अर्जुन को लग रहा था की शायद एकलव्य अपना अँगूठा गुरु द्रोणाचार्य को नहीं देगा। यदि उसने अपना अँगूठा गुरु द्रोणाचार्य दे दिया। तो फिर वो तीर कैसे चलाएगा। अर्जुन ये सब सोच ही रहा था। की तभी अचानक से एकलव्य ने अपना चाकू निकला और अपने सीधे हाँथ का अँगूठा काटकर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य को दे दिया। ये देखकर अर्जुन हैरान रहा गया।
With the chopped thumb of Eklavya, master Dronacharya started going out of the forest. Then Arjun asked master Dronacharya, what did you do? You took the thumb of Eklavya. Now Eklavya will not be able to run all the arrows. Then Dronacharya said to Arjun, Eklavya is very good archer. If I did not do that. So you can not become the best archers. एकलव्य का कटा हुआ अँगूठा लेकर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य वापस जंगल से बाहर जाने लगे। तभी अर्जुन ने गुरु द्रोणाचार्य से कहा, यह आपने क्या किया। आपने एकलव्य का अँगूठा ले लिया। अब एकलव्य सारी जिंदगी तीर नहीं चला पाएगा। फिर गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने अर्जुन से कहा, एकलव्य बहुत अच्छा धनुर्धर है। यदि मैं ऐसा ना करता। तो तुम सबसे अच्छे धनुर्धर नहीं बन पाते। और मैंने तुम्हे वचन दिया था। की मैंने तुम्हे दुनिया का सबसे अच्छा धनुर्धर बनाऊंगा। अर्जुन ने कहा, लेकिन अब जब भी कोई मुझे सबसे अच्छा धनुर्धर कहेगा। तो एकलव्य का कटा हुआ अँगूठा मेरे ऊपर हंसेगा।
